I bought two of these cables and they are working fine.
I don't understand why anyone would pay a lot more for cables that do the same job.
Maybe the reason is good marketing.

Seriously, don't go in the high street and pay 3 times as much for the same product. Granted, no packaging, but it works. I don't do really high quality video, but it works fine for linking my laptop to TV, TV to other, etc. Brilliant value purchase

Why spend more? May not provide all the functions if you are looking to link up a TV and DVD player and use the same remote control for one touch record but as a basic link between and HDMI device and a TV it seems to work fine.
