Product Description For the past three decades, many history professors have allowed their biases to distort the way America's past is taught. These intellectuals have searched for instances of racism, sexism, and bigotry in our history while downplaying the greatness of America's patriots and the achievements of "dead white men."
As a result, more emphasis is placed on Harriet Tubman than on George Washington; more about the internment of Japanese Americans during World War II than about D-Day or Iwo Jima; more on the dangers we faced from Joseph McCarthy than those we faced from Josef Stalin.
A Patriot's History of the United States corrects those doctrinaire biases. In this groundbreaking book, America's discovery, founding, and development are reexamined with an appreciation for the elements of public virtue, personal liberty, and private property that make this nation uniquely successful. This book offers a long-overdue acknowledgment of America's true and proud history.

A remarkable book for Americans of all ages to read March 14, 2010 M. Westendorf (Beach Park, IL USA) This is an awesome book. I have learned so much about American history that I never knew before. My husband taught high school history for nearly 40 years, and I surprised him with facts about our country that he was unaware of. I would recommend this book to Americans of all ages. Learn about your country so you can help to preserve it as the greatest nation on earth.
Great Book - A must read for the whole family March 14, 2010 Jeffrey D. Potts (Detroit, MI) This books gives you the real and true american history. This is stuff our kids are not learning in schools today. This is a must read for everyone in the family to see how our culture has changed what they are teaching our kids in schools and how the portray our history.

A Patriot's History of the United States is the best compilation I have seen to date. It is factual and well written.
A Patriot's History March 12, 2010 Linda R. Woodside (York, Pa. USA) I have just started to read this book ,but so far I find it tells the story very well. Kind of like I remember in my school history lessons. The review of our early history to the present is so good. Eveyone should know the hard ships and valor our ancestors went through to make this good country for us to live in. Not like they are trying to buy into socialism as of today.
Amazon is becoming a pain! March 12, 2010 Wesley R. Cofer III 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
